  Diya Gitanjali Mark (they/them) is a DP, filmmaker and multimedia artist currently based in the Midwest. They are a recipient of the Cream City Jury Award at Milwaukee Film Festival 2022, “Best Horror Film” at Sittanavasal International Film Festival, and the Gener8or x Sherman Phoenix Artist’s Grant in 2024. As a cinematographer, they strive to create imagery that is dynamic and atmospheric, submerging the viewer in the narrative at hand. 

  In their artistic practice, they are often drawn to Horror and Science Fiction narratives, and are interested in using genre to examine themes of social inequity, identity, and existing in spite of the monstrous systems that be.
